“The possession of knowledge does not kill the sense of wonder and mystery. There is always more mystery.”
"You’re waiting for that magical day when someone makes the connection and recognizes who you really are. Maybe they’ll first catch the sparkle in your eye. Or perhaps they’ll marvel at your insights and the depth of your spirit. Someone who will help you connect the dots, believe in yourself, and make sense of it all. Someone who will understand you, approve of you, and unhesitatingly give you a leg up so that life can pluck your ready, ripened self from the branch of magnificence. Well, I’m here to tell you, your wait is over. That someone, is you."
“Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.”
One of my favorite things to do in Ireland is to pay a visit to the local coffee shop, so friendly and welcoming, and then take a stroll around Ennistimon, Co. Clare to let life just happen. Observable differences are everywhere! Life is rich and the people colorful characters, genuine and real. I had a chat with local filmmaker, Fergus Tighe just outside the Cheese Press, a warm spot for a cuppa tea and a favorite hangout for musicians. As Fergus spoke of his creative adventures, I asked if I could take his photograph as I was lost in the backlit world of Irish color and his contrasting stance leaning into it all. A reminder that the real time world of artful conversation is infinitely better than searching for a meaningful existence in the digital world.
“Perhaps many things inside you have been transformed; perhaps somewhere, someplace deep inside your being, you have undergone important changes while you were sad.”
~Rainer Maria Rilke
“It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living.”
~F. Scott Fitzgerald
What a wonderful summer evening at Bowersock Fine Art Gallery's "Modern Man" exhibition juried by Julie Beck in Ptown! It was so interesting to meet other wildly talented artists from around the country. A special thank you to Steven Oatmeyer who purchased "Consciousness" as it was being hung for the show! There are so many positive things in the world that people don't seem to point out because they're so focused on the negative but there are actually good things happening in the world and last night's artful gathering was certainly one of them!

“Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore, trust the physician and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility.”
