It is not often when social media is 100% hip, happy and healthy for me but recently, a special serendipitous exception occurred, translating experiences across space and time . . . Mary Edna Salvi has been a social media friend for almost a decade. I had never met MaryEdna and knew very little about her other than her elegant and poignant comments/musings were heartfelt and inspiring. Recently, she contacted me and wished to purchase “Tully” from the Ireland Series, relating that the art truly spoke to her and resonated with her life on many levels. Thrilled, I picked up the piece from the gallery and hand delivered it to her at her Cambridge home. We hugged, tears were shared, had a nice chat and promised to stay in touch. Thank you MaryEdna for supporting the arts and for being a wonderful human bean!

"Running Faucet"
SOLD What is whimsy? Long days of forgetting what day it is. Wanting to be wherever your wings or the wind dropped you. Filled with secrets and chances? My teenage self never imagined that future David would be doing so many boudoir shoots but hey, that's life for you! Jessica Rabbit from Providence Drum Troupe was superb in modeling for this themed shoot!
I am quite honored that my mixed media/photography piece, "Memory is a Lonely Observer" has been juried into the "SAA Annual Juried Exhibition"!
Scituate Arts Association/Front Street Gallery 124 Front Street Scituate, Massachusetts Dates: April 9 - May 2, 2023 Opening Reception: April 22, 7 pm I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.
Up to a certain point, it is necessary for a man to live his life in the world in which he finds himself, and to make the best of it. But beyond that point, he must create a world of his own. And the greatest thing about life is that it is always giving us the opportunity to create something new. It is never too late to start over, to make a fresh beginning, to blaze a new trail. Life is short, and we have but a brief time in which to explore, to learn, to experience, and to create. Let us make the most of that time, and let us burn brightly, like meteors across the night sky, leaving behind us a trail of light and inspiration for those who come after us. ~Jack London |
