 “Passage” is part of a series created by the artist in 2018 inspired by his mentor and friend, the late great artist David A. Lang. Using the mystery of black and white photography, ballet models and vintage ladders, "Passage" was created in the natural environment near Lang's studio in Natick, Massachusetts.

We decontextualize. Then, we reconstruct. Looking past the obvious, close observation and engagement of the subject is my process. The challenge is to see beyond the distraction of the conspicuous to capture its unique self. “The Preparation” is a discovery of beauty in unusual places.
