Abandoned in a Pink Place
Slow motion exploration of abandoned irish farmhouses is perhaps one of my favorite things to do when traveling in County Clare, Ireland. Finding what is lost, one can almost smell this photograph of a pink hearth, once the beacon of warmth, conversation and news of birth, death, joy and of course, irish sadness. Revisiting the paradoxical nature of Irish melancholy: the joy of being sad, is a journey worth making in prepping for my upcoming solo show: “The Vanishing Light of Ireland" Wolitz Gallery Milton Public Library 475 Canton Avenue Milton, Massachusetts Dates: January 2 - 31, 2024 . . . . #contemporaryart #contemporaryartist #creativelife #artoftheday #contemporaryartcurator #artnewengland #davidleeblack #artscopemagazine #irishart #bodhran #thejoyofbeingsad #countyclare #fineartphotography #abandonedplaces
