This uniquely experiential event is 60th in a series of wonderful workshops.
Together we are growing a community of supportive and talented artists of all skill levels who connect through photography and a love of art.
Creating Your Vision photography workshops involves unique models interacting with the art of a unique space, often world-class art galleries.
For this July 12th event, we are thrilled to be in the fantastic space of The HeARTspot Art Center and Gallery in East Providence with professional ballet dancer Deanne Gerde from Newport’s Island Moving Company, modeling for this special event! Plus a special guest dancer from IMC soon to be announced!

We will work with seamless backdrops, lighting, a wonderful exhibition, all accompanied by a musical soundscape!
Deanna Gerde was born in Syracuse, New York, and received her early training as a dancer at Syracuse School of Ballet. She went on to train at the Joffrey Ballet School in Manhattan, New York, and then started her professional career as a freelance dance artist. Most recently, Deanna spent two years dancing with Ballet Arkansas under the direction of Michael Fothergill. She joined Island Moving Company under the direction of Miki Ohlsen in September of 2019 and is excited to be back on the east coast working and creating with some beautiful artists.

Participants will be instructed on composition, lighting, technical details and creating your own vision in a storytelling way. This event is open to all regardless of ability or camera gear. Even the camera phone is fine.
Free instructional handouts and refreshments provided.
There will also be plenty of helpful guidance and suggestions to enhance your passion for artful photography.

We are located in the rear of the Envisions Eye Care Center, next to East Providence High School.
Parking and Entrances are in the rear.
