“Eventually I Found It. . .”
. I couldn't find my cup of tea With each year that passes I prefer it a little stronger this liquid of experience . . . . Enjoying a glass of stout or a cup of tea in Nan Ahern's pub in Ennistymon, County Clare, Ireland is for many, a favorite pastime. Nan (Ann) who was born in 1921, ran the pub up until her death in 2016. The pub had been in the family since her grandparent's time. Her grandmother's name A. (Ann) Healy was still over the door when Nan was running it. There had also been a forge and a grocery shop in the building. Nan allowed me to explore the cellar which was filled with timeless wonders. As I walked up from the cellar door, I observed this lonely cup which appeared to “waiting well” for its owner’s hand to retrieve it. “Eventually I Found It” is among the 2D and 3D work at my upcoming solo show at URI Providence Downtown Gallery. .
