I am [pleased], [thrilled], [honored], [happy], [delighted],[over the moon], [mildly amused] that this piece didn’t receive any awards or mentions today . . . and that is perfectly fine. I embrace the story of its creation, the journey it is on and that is all that really matters.
. We aren’t born humble. In a way, it is more difficult to learn authentic humility than it is to learn Latin or the violin or how to do fine lace work. The Self gets in the way of humility especially in social media with the urge to feature the narrow, limited “Look at me Me ME!” theme rather than just pure seeing. . I want things to mean more and more; I want to see more and more. To see is to be humble. I struggle, maybe we all do, with this. . I’ve seen some art exhibits recently that are so beautiful that I can’t find any strength or self-confidence to create. But that feeling will pass, because create we must. . . “Guardian” . “On the left side of a strong woman, stands a strong man; he is strengthened by her character.” . ~Ellen J. Barrier
