In Search of the Eighth Color . . .

Some things require a little effort. Such was the case with the making of "In Search of the Eighth Color", a photograph that was taken inside a carved wooden coffee table in a 5-Star Hotel lobby. 
Relaxing by the fireplace, I was enchanted by the intricate carving and inner color treatment of the rings of wood on the inside of the table that was patiently holding my coffee.
Pulling out my camera, I proceeded to crawl inside of the womb-like opening of the coffee table and took a series of photographs. The sight of my legs and hiking boots sticking out from the table created a few eye rolls and raised brows but I created the image I was looking for.
