I am honored to announce that my sculptural piece, “Silently and Light of Foot” has been juried into the national show, “In Motion” at Rocky Neck Art Colony, located in a restored and renovated 19th-century church building in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Thank you jurist Kim Bernard!
. . “Silently and Light of Foot” Such are the ways of things with dance and light. A leap of faith, weightlessly, light on one’s feet . . . into the unknown. . . “Silently and Light of Foot” is a sculptural piece created from gifted but beloved used pointe shoes from the Newport Contemporary Ballet Company dancers and a pre-civil war era shoe rack from one of Massachusetts's oldest mills. The marriage of the two beautiful objects reflects a subtle story of ‘light of foot’ and a reminder that we once weren’t, and then, were, and at some point, won’t be.
