Day 7 of promoting others who make the world a better place to live. Although this is the last of the stated week of doing so, perhaps we can perpetuate positivity on social media instead of the alternative. Some things are ok in the world.
Ted provided this bio a few years back but although the numbers have changed, the message still rings true. Ted Casher, Musician Ted’s tenor sax has the full, rich, deep sound and rhythmic swagger of the great “Texas Tenors” Herschel Evans and Illinois Jacquet — a valued and unique attribute. This contrasts perfectly with his authoritative, limpid clarinet voice. He has played with the Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey Orchestras, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Ray McKinley, Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin, John Denver, and The Rhode Island Philharmonic. Ted is very active as a freelance musician and also directs several high school ensembles. "Today, I turned 75 years of age. My Vel made sure I got up. That sweet lady is talking about 30 more years of married life---she is so good, we just might make it! I am about to go to Cranston to play an educational concert with the School House Orchestra. We are at St. Mary's School, and we are gonna make Christmas music. During the proceedings, I will make Hanukkah music using the performance practice and nuances of klezmer music. For some of those students, this may be the closest they get to a real live Jew! Growing old is a given; growing up is an option! Luv to all!" Signed: Theodore P.
